End Of Raining Season

Weather forecast that the raining season is about to be over and expecting drought for the next four months, ending in September. Hope it's not the dry. Recently we are only getting slight rain about once a week. The soil condition is really dry now. Time to check our watering pond, pump and pipping. Our watering pond need some maintenance work.

Had to stop the Papaya transplanting as some of them are experiencing drought shock. Resorting to watering manually daily. I guess the mortality may be due to the heat and dehydration. Even those with a shade are not spared. A couple died due to stem rot. Shall wait till the plant-lets to grow bigger in the nursery before transplanting further as in the nursery there is shade and watering point. Majority of the transplant are still healthy.
Due to the drought, the pumpkin is not growing well and the harvest had dropped drastically. Anyway, it's the ending season and are preparing to re-plant maybe next month.
