Background

I'm a middle aged man and would like to share with everyone with interest in starting a farm, farming technique, farming studies, farming experiments, farming machinery and anything/everything needed in farming. All help / advise are welcomed. If you have any feasible technique to try out? I have no knowledge in farming, and IT, but what the heck. Hence the term Arm Chair Farmer (i copied this term from a friend). Let's share our experience. Just Do It (slogan from Nike).

Our goal is to start a sustainable and feasible farm, with simple and practical practices. We'll try our best to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

We had decided to start with rubber trees. Why rubber trees? Well, i really don't know. One of the partners had some experience in rubber trees, so rubber it is. As for me, i guess if you go into farming and if you do it sincerely, with passion, I'm sure that it's sufficient to put food on the table. We had decide to plant clones obtained from certified nusery, Lembaga Industri Getah Sabah . Clones has many advantages such as faster and higher yield, stronger resistance against disease.
